AVENTURA Police arrested a 23-year-old man on a charge of theft at Winn-Dixie, 20417 Biscayne Blvd., after store employees said he selected groceries valued at $39 off store displays and then tried to return them at the cashier at 9 a.m. June 15. Police said after they released the man on a “Promise to Appear” and a trespass warning, he returned to the store and tried to steal a bottle of vodka.

·A man claiming to be from Alaska and taking public speaking classes reportedly got into a Pleasant Street housing project and tried to grope a woman, on June 21, around 4 p.m. The man reportedly was let in by a guard, and tried to grope the callers mother and look down her shirt. He was described as a dark-skinned black man with short hair, wearing a beige shirt and jeans.
